My Pregnancy Must-Haves

Today I wanted to share a few of my must haves throughout this pregnancy! It has been a bit of a rough ride, but I am so thankful for these products and the friends that pointed them out to me. Pregnancy can be hard, so anything that can make it a little easier is worth it in my opinion!

A good water bottle! For me, drinking water has been a struggle. I eventually found that a bottle with a straw made me change the way I was drinking and seemed to help cut down on the heartburn. Another necessity for me is something that can be thrown in my purse, and also something that will fit in the cup holders in my car. This bottle fits both of those requirements and has been working out great for me!

I wish I had tried Preggie Pop Drops sooner. They taste good, and although I had them as my morning sickness was ending, they helped, and many people have told me they helped when they were in the thick of it. Don't wait like I did, pull the trigger and buy these now!

My sister in law got me this pregnancy pillow soon after I found out I was pregnant. I'm actually glad I had it early in my pregnancy because I was so nauseous at night, and it helped relieve pressure from my stomach and let me sleep. Side note- the hubby loves this one too!

Prenatal vitamins are obviously a must. I am no doctor so listen to what they say in regards to what you need, but I love this vitamin. I struggled for awhile to find a vitamin I could tolerate, that actually had everything I needed. (I could eat gummy vitamins all day but they're actually missing a few important vitamins!) This one was definitely a lifesaver for me. I take it at night, which was recommended by my doctor, to help me not feel nauseous.

Joggers!!! This is probably my personal biggest must have. I have bought so many pairs since being pregnant. I just want loose clothing at all times. For the longest time I couldn't wear regular jeans or maternity jeans with the belly panel because of how tight they pushed on my belly. Even leggings were a no-go for awhile. These have been my saving grace!

Tums.. because heartburn sucks. Thankfully Tums have helped me and I haven't needed additional heartburn medications. These stay in my purse, and go literally everywhere with me.

I've been using coconut oil for stretch marks. I first bought some kind of belly balm, but I didn't love it, and really the best way to prevent stretch marks is moisture. I don't know that this will really help, just because I think a lot of it has to do with genetics, but it can't hurt.

These are some things that have been getting me by. Select any of the photos to purchase them too, and you can thank me later!

If you're pregnant, or have been, share in the comments some of your pregnancy must haves. I still have a couple months to go, so I'll be especially happy to hear any third trimester must haves!

Fall Bucket List

It is finally starting to feel like fall in Texas. That means it's time for a fall bucket list! I haven't been good about my monthly goals lately because, pregnancy.. so I thought a little bucket list for the season would be a good (and fun) way to get back in the swing of things! Here are a few things I want to cross off the list in the next couple months!

Go to a Pumpkin Patch
The last time we went to the pumpkin patch was the week before our wedding!

Dress up and give out candy on Halloween
At a Halloween party last year we were a taco and avocado! We always dress up, but for the last few years we've lived in an apartment. I'm so excited to be in a house this year and have trick-or-treaters!

Do an Escape Room
We are planning on doing this to celebrate some November birthdays!

Do the Turkey Trot
I'm trying to stay really fit throughout the end of my pregnancy, so I love this idea! It's been a few years since we've done one, but I'm hoping we can make it happen this year!

Roast marshmallows/Make S'mores

We had a little fire and roasted marshmallows for my birthday a few weeks ago, but it was super windy and started to rain, so it was short lived. I'm dying for more nights around the fire!

Get at least half of our Christmas shopping done
My goal is to get all of it done before December, preferably all on Black Friday! Especially with a baby coming in January, I'm trying to be on top of it!

What's on your fall bucket list this year!?
Let me know down in the comments!!

Life Lately

It's quite obvious that I've been neglecting my little blog for awhile. Honestly, pregnancy hit me hard. I'll share all about that soon, but for now, I thought I'd share a little about what we've been up to these past few months while I've been gone. I have several more posts in the works and you will be seeing a whole lot more of me coming soon! So, here we go!

In August we found out we were having a BOY!
 Chris turned 29!
We attended our good friend's wedding!
It was beautiful!
And we partied all night!
The boys and I spent lots of time at the park and on the trails!
Chris started refinishing a piece my dad made in college. It will go in the baby's room.
 We started planning/registering for baby!
I turned 30!
I was surprised with a great night with friends!
 And a fire and s'mores!
A sweet friend gifted me an oils kit I'd been wanting.
I'm so excited to share all about these amazing things very soon!
We attended Ozzy's farewell tour. Baby's second concert. (First was Justin Timberlake!)
We had a little baby moon! We visited Galveston!

Toured the Johnson Space Center! (Sooo cool!)
And enjoyed s few nice dinners and drinks on patios while the sun set.

That pretty much catches us up! I have been working hard to get back at it and have many more posts coming very soon! I hope you'll stick around!

Second Trimester Pregnancy Update

Hey y’all! It’s been awhile, and at 22 weeks pregnant, around half way through my second trimester (what!?!?) I thought it was about time for an update! Things are going really well now! I haven’t shared a lot up until now because it’s been hard, but a post on all that is in the works.

This week Baby is the size of a spaghetti squash. That just seems HUGE to me. I don’t know where he’s hiding but most of the time I feel like my stomach is only getting bigger due to bloat. If I’m not pushing out to relieve the bloating belly pains, it’s really not that big yet. I can still fit in all of my jeans, though I’ve pretty much gone ahead and made the switch to maternity (which I hate) just so there’s no buttons poking me in the stomach. I’ve only gained around 3-4 pounds from my pre-pregnancy weight, but I did lose around 7 pounds in the first few months. Our little boy is still nameless. Who knew naming a baby would be this hard. We’re not putting a lot of pressure on finding his name, but I would LOVE for it to be decided already.

I can’t believe he will be here in just about four months. It’s the most surreal feeling. I’m so looking forward to the next few months, celebrating the holidays, baby moon, baby shower, and getting ready to meet our new best friend.
