Fit Friday No.4

Happy Friday!
 It's time for the monthly fitness check-in! If you're new to following, in January, I committed to a healthier lifestyle. No diets, no real restrictions, just more healthy foods, less junk, and regular exercise. I committed to sharing the journey in this space for a few reasons, mainly, accountability. Each month I answer the same five questions. Each month I try to beat the month before. So far, each month, I make progress. These little check-ins keep me focused and inspired. If you're on your own journey, I'd love for you to do this with me, in the comments each month, on your own blog, or in private. Anyway, lets check in for March!

Number of gym check-ins 
14 gym check-ins this month.. Starting this next week, Chris and I will be able to go together twice during the week for a couple months, and we continue to do at least one workout during the weekend. We try for two, but that doesn't always work out.

Jean size
I would still say it's a 14, but I'm wearing some size 12 now. (The jeans I have on now are 12!)

Pounds lost
I've only been losing like, 2 pounds a month. However I ordered a bridesmaid's dress for a wedding a couple months ago, and when it came in I thought they had made it too big, but I measured and I'd lost almost 2 inches in my chest (bye, back fat!) I can tell I'm gaining muscle, and I'm starting to wear smaller clothes, so I don't even care how many pounds I lose at this point.

Goal of the month
My goal this month was to keep it consistent, and I think I've done really good. Even on off days I've gone on some long walks, chased the boys around, lifted weights in the living room. I've been trying to always do something.

Win of the month
I ordered pizza this month. I haven't done this in forever, but I was hungry, out of food, and it was raining. The win in this is that I discovered I've been eating healthier for so long that I can no longer eat this. I can still eat a healthier version from a few places, but no more greasy pizza delivery for me! This win is a little bittersweet for this foodie, but I'm proud of myself.


I feel like I had a good month. Progress is slow, but it's there, and that's something! I'm heading into a super busy April, and I'm focused on staying on track this next month, and I'm excited to see what adding an extra workout day every week does to my progress!
