Favorite Holiday Party Recipe

The Most Wonderful Time of the Year link up with Sarah and Victoria is almost over, just two days left! Today's topic is a holiday recipe. I don't know if you can call this a real recipe, because it's so easy (and there's no baking involved) but it's just so good!
Peppermint Pie
It's a super easy, no-bake, four ingredient, dessert!
I love everything peppermint around the holidays. Peppermint cookies, hot chocolate, milkshakes, coffee, ice cream, PIE... sign me up!!!
All you need for this pie is
1-oreo pie crust (you could use graham cracker if you wanted)
1-gallon of peppermint ice cream (blue bell is my go-to)
1-container of cool whip
Peppermints or candy cane for garnish (optional)
Whipped cream for garnish (optional)
A big bowl and spoon for mixing
I start by setting out the ice cream for a few minutes. You need it to be soft enough to mix the cool whip in.

I spoon the ice cream and cool whip into a bowl. I didn't measure how much I did, so hopefully you can kind of tell from the picture, but I do a little more ice cream than cool whip, and I usually do most or all of the container of cool whip.I mixed it with a spoon but it would be even easier in a kitchen aide. (I loaned mine to my brother and haven't gotten it back yet.)
Then you spoon it into the oreo crust and smooth it all out carefully!
At this point, the lid goes on and it goes in the freezer to freeze back up. I usually let it sit for a few hours at least so that when I cut into it, it doesn't melt and fall apart immediately.
I put a couple candy canes in our nutri-bullet, ground them up, and sprinkled the dust on top.
Then I cut into it and had a nice little dessert!

There you have it! Probably the easiest recipe there ever was! It's so good too! The perfect winter treat!

Will you make this easy "pie"?
Do you love peppermint too!?
